*HERE IS A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME*

Hello, as you already know, my name is Ms.Luby. I am currently 25 years old and this is my second year as a third grade teacher. I attended Palm Beach Lakes High School all 4 years of my high school career, where I was in the Teacher’s Academy. I graduated from PBL high school and proceeded to Palm Beach Community College. At PBCC, I entered the Honors College. I also was a member of Phi Theta Kappa (Honors Society) as well as the cheer/dance team. I served as the co-captain of the dance team as well as a student ambassador for the college my second year as well. After 2 years at the community college, I graduated with honors and then transferred to the University of Central Florida were I obtained by bachelors in Elementary Education.

I have always wanted to become a teacher for as far back as I can remember. I can remember, as a child, playing “school” with other family members. Of course, I was always the teacher and I would play the role very well. I had my little chalk board where I would write all of my information. I would also print out worksheets for my students, which would sometimes just be my stuffed animals.

Although I spend a great amount of my time at school with my students, I also have a little one of my own at home. Her name is Jayla and she is 5 years old. She enhances my abilities to be a great teacher. She has taught me to have extreme patience when teaching new things and I have taken this and applied it to my everyday classroom functions.

In my spare time, I spend lots of time with my daughter in addition to coaching the Lake Park Sharks’ little league all-star cheerleading squad. I myself also dance with a studio by the name of Sean’s Dance Factory. I really enjoy music and different forms of dance. So when your children come home singing and dancing, don’t worry, I incorporate these things into most of my lessons. From experience, I see that it is something that really holds my students’ attention.

I am a very easy-going person and children are just what make my life so much more gratifying and no one can take that joy away!
